Freeda Faye Curtis' Obituary
Freeda Faye Rohrbaugh Curtis, 84, of Locust passed away on August 25, 2023 in the Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis. No services will be held at this time.
Born November 24, 1938 in Maysville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lester Rohrbaugh and Marie Stonestreet Rohrbaugh. She was a secretary with the FBI, worked at several hospitals and at Curtis Security Systems in Brooksville, FL. She formerly attended New Life Church. Freeda was a great mom. She loved to read and had a close relationship with her four sisters. She also loved her home place in West Virginia.
She was married to the late Jerry Curtis who preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by one son, Kevin Curtis (Beth) of Locust, NC, daughter-in-law Jackie Curtis of Canal Winchester, Ohio, grandchildren Matthew Curtis (Monica) of Williamsburg, VA, Danielle Rippy (Robert) of Pickerington, OH, and Christopher Curtis of Charlotte, NC, four sisters Pauline Reel of Petersburg, WV, Reva Reel of El Paso, TX, Amy Shafer of Albuquerque, NM, and Hilda Perry (David) of San Marcos, CA, 3 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Scott Curtis on August 2, 2015.
