Francis "Frank" Beckner Fry's Obituary
Francis “Frank” Beckner Fry, 69, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in Atrium Health Stanly. His memorial service will be 4pm Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Stony Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Wanda Lancaster and Rev. Sue Anne Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 3pm until 3:45pm prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Fry was born May 4, 1953 in Lexington, NC to the late James Lewis Fry and Mary Frances Beckner Fry. He formally worked as a meat cutter, working with Picketts Supermarket in Lexington, NC, Fresh Market, Winn-Dixie, and Food Lion, as well managed a chain of convenience stores. He worked in real-estate with Century 21 (now Center Town Realty), High Rock Realty, and broker in charge/owner of Advantage Residential Specialist. Mr. Fry had also worked as a deputy with the Davidson County Sherriff’s Department in the 70’s.
Frank is survived by his wife, Rev. Kaye Fry of the home. He is also survived by a son, Zebulon Lewis Fry of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Kathryn “Katy” Elizabeth Fry (partner Jack) of Lexington, NC, and three grandchildren, Grace Fry, Jessica Fry and Bodhi Fry. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Lewis Fry, Jr.
