Frances Carmel ?Sister? Hardister Taylor of Albemarle, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 in Forrest Oakes.? Her funeral service will be 3 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elsie Hardister officiating.? Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory.? The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Stanly Funeral Home from 1:30 until 2:30 prior to the funeral service.
Born June 20, 1927 in Randolph County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Chisolm Hardister and Amanda Pauline Hoover Hardister and was a seamstress with Cassie Catillion.? She was a charter member of Chandler?s Grove United Methodist Church.? She loved her husband, children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband Wallace W. ?Doc? Taylor who preceded her in death in 1998.? Survivors include sons Larry W. ?Spud? Taylor and wife Tracy of New London and Billy Joe Taylor and wife Vallie of New London, 3 brothers Robert Hardister and wife Louise of Albemarle, Jack Hardister and wife Kathleen of New London, and Donald Hardister and wife Gladys of Albemarle, 5 sisters Lucille Manor of Norwood, Laura Brown of Albemarle, Shirley Hardister of Charlotte, Sue Fraley of New London, and Linda Justice of Charlotte, 4 grandchildren Trent Taylor, Chad Taylor, Carmel Taylor, and Nikki Taylor Patrick, and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family will gather at the home of her son Spud and his wife Tracy.
