Frances Hussey Morton's Obituary
Frances Morton, 80, of Albemarle, NC passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at her home in Albemarle NC with her husband by her side. Her funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday August 8, 2023, at Poplins Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Delane Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Poplins Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Morton was born on October 21, 1942, in Moore County N.C. to the late Pauline and Howard Hussey.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Morton of the home. She is also survived by one son Kelly Morton (Brenda), two daughters Rhonda Kelly, Kristen Huneycutt (Shaun), Five Grandchildren Josh Kelly, Jared Kelly (Kristen), Jack Kelly (Karman), Alainna Huneycutt and Raelynn Huneycutt. Three Great-Grandchildren Jase, Maggie and Jett Kelly. Two sisters Cynthia Kirk (John) and Janice Morgan (John).
She is predeceased by one brother Howard “Butch” Calvin Hussey Jr. and her parents Howard Calvin Hussey Sr. and Pauline Scott Hussey.
Frances will be fondly remembered for her kind spirit, patience, love for music and books and her passion for teaching.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
