Frances Louise Strother Morton, 95, of Albemarle passed away September 9, 2016 in Stanly Manor.? Her funeral service will be 1 PM Monday, September 12, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Pickler officiating.? Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory.? The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care.
Born January 28, 1921 in Montgomery County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Miller Carson Strother and Bennie Parnell Strother.? She was a retired seamstress with Knitsters.? A member of Whitecrest Baptist Church, Mrs. Morton loved quilting and she loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons Jerry Morgan (Nadine) of Charlotte, and Roger Morgan (Cindy) of Crumpler, NC, daughter Brenda Rummage of Albemarle, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.? She was preceded in death by a brother Loy Strother, sister Nellie Cole, and grandson Kenny Morgan.
