Frances Poplin Hathcock's Obituary
Frances Poplin Hathcock, 84, of Denton passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. There will be no formal services.
Ms. Hathcock was born on April 8, 1940, in Stanly County to the late John and Virgie Poplin. She is lovingly survived by daughters, Tracey Nash and husband Gene of Denton; Bonnie Mills and husband Tim of Richfield; sons, John Hathcock of Norwood; and Michael Hathcock of Norwood. Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Andrea Nash, Jackie Nash, Jonathan Hathcock, Callie Hathcock, Nicholas Nash, Chris Mills, Jessica Nash, Megan Rodgers, Alex Hathcock, Garrett Hathcock, and Jordan Page, as well as 9 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Hathcock is preceded in death by her husband Martin Hathcock, a sister, Bessie Burris, and a brother Richard Poplin.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved her hummingbirds and her cat. She was an avid reader and loved her books.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Hathcock family.
