Frances Ashcraft's Obituary
Mrs. Frances Gray Ashcraft, age 94, of Winnabow, North Carolina, formerly of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at her residence.
A Graveside Mausoleum Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, November 20, 2017, at Lakeland Memorial Park, officiated by Reverend Jason Haas.
Mrs. Ashcraft was born on December 30, 1922, in Anson County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late William A. Gray and Jessie Garland Gray. She was a retired nurse having served Mercy Hospital in Charlotte with 39 years of dedicated service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Ashcraft and twelve brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son, Thomas J. Ashcraft, II and wife, Anne, of Winnebow, NC; her daughter, Carla Combs of Rome, New York; three grandsons, Jason Ashcraft of Delco, North Carolina, Kenneth Delaney of Clinton, North Carolina, Edmund Combs of Rome, New York; three granddaughters, Sara Knotts and husband, Kris, of Leland, North Carolina, April Storms of Rome, New York, Carla Combs of Oneida, New York. There are many great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service at Lakeland Mausoleum.
