Everette Leon Gardner's Obituary
Everette Leon Gardner passed away peacefully at his home on March 22, 2021 at the age of 84. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Poplin Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle officiated by Dr. John Lindsay. Visitation will be held from 10-10:45AM prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Everette was born on November 11, 1936 in Montgomery County to the late Daniel and Tinie Gardner. He worked in construction for over 60 years. Everette served in the US Army and enjoyed building clocks in his spare time.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty A Gardner, of 57 years. Everette is lovingly remembered by his daughters Brenda Helms (Randy), Donna Clark and Laura Gardner all of Albemarle. Grandchildren Michelle and Dustin Helms. Step-granddaughter Angela Clark. Great grandchild; Ella Tucker. Brothers; Daniel Gardner (Tissie), Wayne Gardner; sisters Sallie Hudson, Lila Green (Edward), Peggy Hudson (Michael).He was preceded in death by his sister Louise Lee and his brother Ralph Gardner.
