Evelyn ""Memaw"" Glenham's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn "Memaw" Daniels Glenham, age 92, of Indian Trail, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Lake Park Nursing Home.
A Celebration of Life Service for Evelyn D. Glenham will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2015 in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Reverend Mike Whitson.
Interment will follow at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail Cemetery.
Evelyn was born on August 19, 1923 in Wayne Co., NC, a daughter of the late Charlie Daniels and Vida Davis Sorrell. She was married to the late Karl L. Glenham. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Karl "KL" Glenham, Jr. and Talmadge (Ray) Smith; a grandson, Billy Smith; and two brothers, Wayne Daniels and Daniel Daniels.
Evelyn was a retired day care operator and a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail since 1968.
Survivors include a son, William "Bill" Smith of Polkton; and a sister, Geraldine Simone of Highland, NY.
There are 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday Night, October 9, 2015, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home.
