Eula Ashcraft Rorie's Obituary
Mrs. Eula Ashcraft Rorie, age 90, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at the Addison of Indian Trail.
Private graveside funeral services will be conducted at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Eddie Powers and Mr. Bradley Couick.
Mrs. Rorie was born on December 28, 1929, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late L.M. Ashcraft and the late Emma Sarah Griffin Ashcraft. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Thomas, her twin sister, Beulah Moser, and a brother, John Albert Ashcraft.
Eula was married to the late Robert Rorie, who passed in 1992, and was a poultry producer with Tyson Foods.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Bob) Rorie, Jr and wife Phyllis of Monroe, Russell Rorie and wife Debbie of Supply, NC and Daniel Rorie and wife Stacey of Blaine, TN; two daughters, Vickie Holland and husband Gene of Matthews, and Jan Couick and husband Nelson of Monroe; and a sister in law, Joyce Ashcraft of Marshville.
There are 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with one on the way.
Memorials may be made to the Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1106 W. Sandy Ridge Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
