Erma Louvine Burleson Almond, 85, of Albemarle passed away Saturday, July 30th, 2016 in the Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis.? Her funeral service will be 2 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Canton Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Mabry officiating.?? Burial will follow in the church cemetery.? The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 prior to the hour of the service.
Born January 20, 1931 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Spencer Burleson and Viola Furr Burleson and was a retired employee of East Apparel.? She was a member of Canton Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Trexler Almond.? Survivors include son Phil Everette Almond and wife Jan of Locust, daughters Tonya Almond Wilhelm and husband Bill of Albemarle, and Wanda Almond Holt and husband John David of Albemarle, 6 grandchildren Tennelle Hann, Gresham Wilhelm, Stephanie Harris, Bradley Holt, Drew Almond, and Trexler Almond, and 4 great-grandchildren Aniston Hann, Danica Hann, Cobran Wilhelm, and Paisley Harris.
The family requests that memorials be made to Canton Baptist Church, General Fund, 24615 Endy Rd., Albemarle, NC 28001 or to Tucker Hospice House, 5005 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
