Eric Lee DelSanto Sr.'s Obituary
Eric Lee DelSanto, Sr., 62, of New London, NC, passed away in his home after a lengthy illness. His funeral service will be 2pm Sunday, May 15, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel of Albemarle with Pastor Curtis Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 12pm until 1:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home. After the funeral service the family will greet friends at the home of his Mother, Miriam Preiser. A private burial will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery.
He was born September 3, 1959 in Warwick, RI to Miriam McKown Preiser of New London, NC and the late Francis William DelSanto, Sr. Eric enjoyed spending time with his family, scouting with his son and he loved the beach.
He is survived by his wife, Genie P. Del Santo of New London, NC. Other survivors include two sons, Eric L. DelSanto, Jr. of Stanfield, NC and Angelo Del Santo of New London, NC; two daughters, Wendi Howey (Freddie) of Albemarle, NC and Yzabella Del Santo of New London, NC; mother Miriam McKown Preiser (Robert) of New London, NC; two brothers, Francis “Frankie” DelSanto, III of San Diego, CA and Mark Del Santo (Denise) of New London, NC; three sisters, Anne Mills of Ashaway, RI, Carol Laney (Steve) of Sylacauga, AL and Rhonda Morton (Jimmy) of Thomasville, NC; sister-in-law, Becky DelSanto of Albemarle; five grandchildren, Dakota DelSanto, David Carpenter, Summer DelSanto, Brooke DelSanto and Eric DelSanto, III; step-grandchildren, Vyktoria Iverson and Jon Howey; a step-great-granddaughter, Everly Iverson; step-father, Frank Culp (Denita) of VA; step-mother, Pat DelSanto of RI and a host of nieces and nephews. Eric is also preceded in death by two brothers, Keith DelSanto, Sr. and Stephen DelSanto, brother-in-law, Walter Mills Jr., daughter-in-law, Virginia DelSanto and sister-in-law, Brenda DelSanto.
