Emma Naomi Vaughn's Obituary
Emma Naomi Burroughs Vaughn, 83, of Mt. Gilead passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Forrest Oaks Nursing Center.
A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, July 10, 3:00 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church. Pastor Ben Sloan will officiate.
Born November 25, 1937 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late Ralph Burroughs and Evvie Aycock Burroughs. She operated an in-home day care for children and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She loved shopping, bird watching, family and her church friends. She was a sponsor to many in the AA program and always put God first in her life.
Mrs. Vaughn was married to the late Herbert Dale Vaughn. Survivors include son James William Isley (Maria Barringer) of Moravian Falls, NC and daughter Michelle Vaughn of High Point, NC, granddaughter Elizabeth Vogler (Marty) of Walker Town, NC and 5 great-grandchildren.
