Elizabeth Plyler Faulkner's Obituary
Elizabeth Ramelle Plyler Faulkner, 84, of Albemarle, NC passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Stanly Manor surrounded by her family. Her funeral will be at 2PM Friday, October 28, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Albemarle with Rev. Tab Whitley officiating. The burial will follow the service at Plyler Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 till 8PM at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care.
Born December 25, 1931 in Albemarle, she was the daughter of the late Wade Herman Plyler and Essie Morton Plyler. Ramelle graduated Albemarle High School and was a line worker at Federal Pacific. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She was a devoted caregiver to her family and friends, known throughout for her love, cooking, and devotion to God. Beloved wife, mother, and MawMaw Melle.
Mrs. Faulkner is survived by her husband and love of her life for 65 years, Herman Darrell Faulkner. Other survivors include one son, Randy D. Faulkner (Wanda) of Albemarle, two daughters, Pocahontas F. Noland (Larry) and Kim R. Faulkner both of Albemarle, five grandchildren, Ashleigh N. Hinson (Darren) of Mt. Pleasant, Brittany N. Blalock (David) of Albemarle, Olin ?Dave? D. Williams, III (Jessica) of Huntersville, Lauren B. Hatley (Neil) of Wesley Chapel, and Brock A. Faulkner of Albemarle, and four great-grandchildren, Riley M. Hinson, Blakely G. Hinson, Emelia K. Williams, and Elizabeth K. Williams. She is preceded in death by one brother, James Eldridge Plyler and one sister, Jean Plyler Smith.
The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of Stanly Manor and Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie.
