Elizabeth Jeanette Cook's Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth Jeanette Pierce Cook, age 94, of Waxhaw, NC, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Cook was born on October 27, 1921, in Erie County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Elton Pierce and Ruth Goodrich Pierce. She was the oldest of ten children, and her youngest brother Bob and youngest sister Helen remain to cherish her memory. She was a homemaker and was a volunteer for Wycliffe Bible Translators for JAARS in Waxhaw for 25 years.
Survivors include her husband Clarence Raymond Cook of Waxhaw, NC; her son Jack Ardell Cook (Paula); her daughter Judith Clare Cook Harris (James); her brother Reverend Robert Pierce of Long Island, NY; her sister Helen Feldman of New Smyrna, FL; there are six grandchildren Stephen Cook (Janel), Serina Szyplik (Bill) all of North East, PA, Shawn Cook (Ami) of Waxhaw, NC, Chris Cook (Erin) of North East, PA, Heather Vonnahme (Nathan), and Heidi May (Richard) all of Fairbanks, AK; seventeen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
A private family service was held on Saturday October 1, 2016. A celebration of her life is planned for October 27, 2016 which would have been her 95th birthday.
