Mr. Edward Grant Jones, Jr., age 69, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center - Union.
A Graveside Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Crown Memorial Park in Pineville.
Mr. Jones was born on August 6, 1944, in Ashe County, North Carolina, a son of the late Edward Grant Jones, Sr. and Ora Lee Gentry Jones. He was a graduate of NC State University with a degree in Engineering. He was the owner of Metrolina Apparel.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Threatt Jones.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin Jones of Texas, Derek Jones of North Carolina; one daughter, Hollie M. Jones of Texas; one brother, Randy Jones of Texas; one sister, Patricia Jones of Tampa, Florida; and his brother-in-law, Leroy Threatt of Monroe.
