Edith Teague's Obituary
Mrs. Edith D. Teague, age 84, of Monroe, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Turner Presbyterian Church at 4802 Lancaster Highway in Monroe, officiated by Reverend Charles Humphries. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Teague was born on May 7, 1929 in Union County, a daughter of the late Carl Newton Deese and Grace Simpson Deese. She was a retired production scheduler with Raymark Friction Company.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband Pleas Teague on June 17, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Craig and husband, Jimmy, of Monroe, and Janet B. Rouse, of Monroe; one brother, Fred Deese and wife, Yoshiko, of Monroe; and one sister, Millie Moser of Monroe. There are two granddaughters, Heather Henage and husband, Lee, of Monroe, Tonya Mauldin and husband, Jason, of Cary; three grandsons, Travis Baker of Wingate, Adam Craig of Monroe, and Justin Craig and wife, Courtney, of Monroe. There are eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday evening (March 31, 2014) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home; 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe.
