Edith Sarah Hubbard's Obituary
Edith Sarah Hubbard, 82, of Albemarle passed away Wednesday June 26, 2024, surrounded by her family. Her funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday June 28, 2024, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle with Pastor Clayton Stoneman and Pastor Robert Hedrick, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 27, 2024, from 6-8 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle.
Ms. Edie was born September 1, 1941, in Oxford Co. Maine to the late George and Helene Chase. Ms. Hubbard is lovingly survived by a son; Michael Coffin of Albemarle, daughters; Marlene McDade of Lexington and Sandra Patchin (Kenneth) of Albemarle. She is also survived by grandchildren; Michael Coffin, Jr (Tina), Johnny Howell, Jr., Clinton Byerly, Courtney Gauthier, Cassie Coffin, Jenny Pressley, Ashley Gauthier (Michael Beaver), Brandy Cook (Andy), Madison McDade, Marcia Gaddy and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Edie was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She made it a priority to always be available and be there for her family. She was an active member of Deliverance Tabernacle in Silver Valley where she was the church secretary. Her passion in life was caring for others. She always put others first, especially her grand babies!
Ms. Edie was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Hubbard in 2019. She is also predeceased by daughters; Theresa Edwards, Deborah Boyd and Kelly Haley.
