Earl Eugene Smith, 86, of Albemarle, NC passed away Saturday morning, September 2, 2017 at Bethany Woods Nursing Center in Albemarle. Born November 24, 1930 in Alliance, OH he was the son of the late Clarence D. Smith and Pearl Rhome Smith. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the Air Force and served during the Korean War. He occasionally attended Grace Baptist Church in Albemarle as long as his health permitted.? Earl is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn Russell Smith of Albemarle and a daughter, Vickie Davis of California.
