Earl C. Oakes, 88, of New London, NC, passed away Sunday July 26, 2020 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC, due to Covid-19. His graveside service will be 10am Thursday July 30, 2020 at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery. Read Obituary
I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Earl. I first met Earl in 1984 through the Gideons, int. Earl was one of the finest Christian men that I have ever

I was so sorry to hear of Earl's passing. He was my first cousin. Our mothers were sisters. I haven't seen him in a lot of years, but will remember him as being kind hearted. My Mom loved him. I'm sorry for the loss of Mr. Earl. He was a fine Godly gentleman. I met him yrs. ago during grief share at Highland; and saw him regularly at the YMCA. I also talked to him at the nursing facility in the past year. Always had a smile and a kind word. He had a great attitude about his health and shared his faith. May God bless you in your loss and comfort knowing he's now healthy in heaven and with his Lord and savior. You're in my prayers.
