I knew Doyle at the WSPD. He was a great officer and always had a smile.
To the Poplin family:
I don’t have the words to express how heartbroken I was to hear of Doyle’s passing. All the comments from others about what a fine Christian man he was: filled with kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion were so true. I was blessed to see he and my cousin Mary Ann stay in love and devotedly married for 70 years. I can only imagine how difficult this time of loss and sadness is for his family. We can all take comfort in knowing that he is in heaven with our precious Savior.
With my deepest sadness snd sympathy,

Sorry to hear of Mr. Poplin’s passing but know he’s rejoicing in Heaven! I bought pine needles for years from him and he was such a pleasure to know, so very kind! My prayers for his wife and family.
Sincerely,

Doyle truly loved his God, his family and his church. His kind spirit touched countless lives and his quiet faith was constantly visible in his actions. His helpfulness and generosity encouraged everyone he met. He possessed an admirable trait that is sadly disappearing in our time --- he always placed others ahead of himself.

Doyle was one of the first men to welcome my husband and me when we were doing the music at Anderson Grove Baptist Church. I loved his sweet, gentle spirit and to watch him smile. My prayers are with Mary Ann and the family.
Doyle was one of my first Training Coaches in 1973. He was a great guy and good coach.
