Douglas Keith Weaver's Obituary
Douglas Keith Weaver, 70, of Oakboro passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in his home. His funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle with Pastor Kevin Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle from 11 AM until 1 PM before the hour of the service. Burial will be held on July 1, 2024, in the Salisbury National Cemetery with Military Honors by the US Army.
Born August 7, 1953, in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late James Eugene Weaver and Hilda Athene Smith Weaver. He was a Biomedical Tech with Stanly Regional Medical Center and a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He loved movies and music and he enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his three children, Karen Brown of Albemarle, Lindsey Toole (Chris) of Stanfield, Daniel Weaver (Kim) of New London, sisters Karen Lowder of Albemarle and Ketti Overcash of Terrell, 8 grandchildren Zac Brown (Alyssa), Maddie Brown, Aidan Brown, Eli Toole, Owen Toole, Tripp Weaver, Avery Toole, Emerson Toole, and two great-grandchildren Ava and Charlotte Brown.
