Douglas Manson Shaylor's Obituary
Douglas Manson Shaylor, 89, of Richfield, NC, passed away Thursday September 13, 2018 at CHS-Stanly, Albemarle, NC. A Service of Remembrance for Mr. Shaylor will be held at a later date.
Douglas was born May 20, 1929 in Springfield, Massachusetts and was the son of the late Charles Manson Shaylor and Doris Johnson Shaylor. He was a former advertising manager of Breck Shampoo Company. Mr. Shaylor was a Veteran of the US Army and Korean War. He enjoyed square dancing with his wife.
Mr. Shaylor was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Beryl Wilma Dunscombe Shaylor. He is survived by a son Keith Shaylor (Robyn) of Richfield, NC; daughter Wendy Ross (Tim) of Kannapolis, NC; sister Jean Wilson of Springfield, Massachusetts; four grandchildren Vanessa Ross of Charlotte, NC, Alicia Ross of Kannapolis, NC, Corey Shaylor (Amy) of Richfield, NC and Kelsey Barringer (Gunnar) of Gold Hill, NC; three great-grandchildren Emma Grace Shaylor, Cooper Jacob Manson Shaylor and Avery Lee Barringer.
