Douglas Brian Archer's Obituary
Douglas
Brian Archer, 50, of Richfield, NC, passed away Monday February 11, 2019 at his
home following a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be 1PM
Thursday February 14, 2019 in the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care Chapel of
Albemarle with Rev. Delane Burris officiating. Burial will take place at the
Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends
following the service in the chapel.
Douglas was
born January 22, 1969 in Stanly County, NC and was the son of the late Robert
Eugene Archer and Macie Mann Hinson. Mr. Archer graduated in 1987 from
Albemarle High School and attended Stanly Community College. Douglas graduated
from Pfeiffer University in 1995 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked
for many years in the county club industry as an activities director and at
Morrow Mountain State Park as an attendant. Douglas was of the Catholic Faith
and was a Veteran of the US Army serving from 1987 until 1996.
Mr. Archer
is survived by his Aunt and Uncle Lonnie and Patty Morton of Albemarle, NC; Aunt
Lib Burleson of Albemarle, NC; brother Anthony ?Tony? Archer of Albemarle, NC
and stepfather Jim Hinson. He was also preceded in death by a sister Kathy Archer
Lambert.
