Mrs. Dorothy Billingsley Parks, age 93, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at Monroe Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Dorothy B. Parks will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, May 19, 2014, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street.

Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Parks was born on October 7, 1920, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Lee T Billingsley and Tinnie Pressley Billingsley.

She was married to the late D. B. Parks.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by four brothers, Hugh Billingsley, Curtis Billingsley, Bill Billingsley and Oscar Billingsley; and two sisters, Deedie B. Ferguson and Mabel Horne.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Donnita) Parks of Charleston, South Carolina and Jerry Eugene Parks of Monroe; four grandchildren, Cathy (Mike) Nance of Monroe, David (Sherri) Parks of Westfield, NC, Colby Parks (Emily Plyler) of Monroe and Carrey (Richard) Parks of Monroe; six great grandchildren, Rachel and William Nance, Harrison and Kate Margaret Parks, Matty and Sarah Tice; a brother, Gus (Dean) Billingsley of Monroe; two sister-in-laws, Faye Billingsley and Billie Billingsley both of Monroe.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Davis Funeral Service in Monroe.
