Dorothy Elaine Fisher passed away on September 28, 2017 in her home.? She was born March 2, 1931 in Pennsylvania to the late John Franklin Fisher and Dorothy Smith Fisher? She is the widow of Robert K. Gingrich.? Although born with the handicap of being deaf, she had amazing accomplishments: raising children, being a successful hairstylist and accomplished artist.? She moved to NC to be with her oldest daughter.? The first year at the Stanly County Artist Guild she won first place with the Albemarle Christmas Angels.? She was a retired hairstylist and member of Mt. Moriah Methodist Church in New Salem. ?She loved to knit and enjoyed flowers, especially orchids.
Mrs. Gingrich is survived by her son Robert K. Gingrich Jr. (Irin) of Mohnton, PA, daughters Kathleen A. Craton (Stephen) of Marshville, NC and Karen S. Edwards (Tom) of Phoenixville, PA, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, as well as Jezebel her beloved service dog.
