Dorothy Mae Bumgarner's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Mae Bumgarner, age 89, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Bumgarner was born April 27, 1926 in Miami Beach, FL, daughter of the late Henry William Beck and Marie Elizabeth Ruddy. She was a homemaker.
There will be a private service at the Bumgarner residence at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Dorrie Bumgarner, her son Bill Bumgarner, and her great grandson Jeffrey Benton.
Survivors include her husband James Bumgarner of Monroe, NC; her son Jim Bumgarner (Connie); her two daughters Bonnie Benton, and Kathleen Wood (Don); there are twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) for elephant protection, 290 Summer Street, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675.
