Doris Roberta Taylor's Obituary
Mrs. Doris Brock Taylor, age 85, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016, at her residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Doris Brock Taylor will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
Interment will follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1715 Hopewell Church Road, Peachland, NC 28133.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016, prior to the ceremony at Davis Chapel.
Mrs. Taylor was born on March 15, 1930, in Anson County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Purdy Dewey Brock and Mamie Elizabeth Steele Brock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughes Taylor and a brother, Bobby Brock.
She was a homemaker and caregiver.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sheila Baker and the late Donnie Baker of Monroe, Elizabeth Haigler and the late Dennis Haigler of Hemby Bridge; four sons, Billy Taylor and Dolly Taylor of Waxhaw, Ricky Taylor and Laura Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, Harold Taylor and Sheila Taylor of Monroe and Eddie Taylor of Marshville; thirteen grandchildren, Scarlett Chapman, Daniel Baker, Seth Baker, Christopher Haigler, Alicia Haigler, Leslie Camara, Amanda Sailer, Jessica Andreano, Brandy Taylor, Amber Taylor, Cody Taylor, Kayla Taylor and Matthew Everson; and twenty eight great grandchildren.
