Doris Bame Burleson's Obituary
Doris Marie
Bame Burleson, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday April 4, 2019 at her
home. Her funeral service will be 2 PM Monday April 8, 2019 in the Stanly
Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel of Albemarle with Rev. Adam Hatley
officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will
receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service.
Doris was
born February 16, 1931 in Stanly County, NC, and was the daughter of the late
Mitchell Bernard Bame and Fannie Mae Austin Bame. Mrs. Burleson was a retired
employee of Allison Manufacturing. She was a member of West Albemarle Baptist
Church. Doris loved to make plastic canvas crosses and handing them out to
everyone she met. She enjoyed gardening and she truly loved her Lord and
reading her Bible.
Mrs.
Burleson was preceded in death by her husband E.H. Burleson, Jr. on April 14,
2005. She is survived by three sons Randy Burleson and JoAnne, Mark Burleson
and Annette and Tony Burleson and Angie all of Albemarle; seven grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren.
