Mrs. Doretha "Pete" Huggins Cole, age 83, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at CMC-Main in Charlotte, North Carolina..
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Doretha "Pete" Cole will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Cole was born on August 8, 1931, in Robeson County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Grady Neil Huggins and Ethel Leola Huggins Huggins.
She was a registered nurse.
Survivors include a son, Neil Cole and wife Jane of Charlotte; a daughter Donna Ruth Hill and husband Michael of Monroe. There are four grandchildren, Anne Marie Starnes and husband Mark, Emily Nicole Parker and husband Chris, Andrew Cole, and Abby Cole; and four great grandchildren Sam Starnes, Alice Starnes, Cassidy Starnes and Caiden Parker.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00AM Saturday, February 28, 2015, prior to the funeral ceremony at Davis Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
