Donna Dianne Burris Whitley, 82, of Albemarle passed away at 4:56 a.m. May 17th, 2024, at Stanly Manor. Donna’s funeral service will be on Monday May, 20, 2024 at 3 PM at Kendall’s Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Kendall’s Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiates will be Rev. Kent Little and Rev. Keith Walters. Visitation will be Sunday May, 19, 2024 from 6 PM til 8 PM at Stanly Funeral And Cremation Care of Albemarle. She was born July 1st, 1941 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to the late Elmer Carwell Burris and Freda Camilla (Poplin) Burris. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and when her health permitted, she loved visiting yard sales and antique stores. She also loved her Kendalls Church family and enjoyed visits and calls from each and every person. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Kenneth Melvin Whitley; Sisters Novillian, Annie Belle, Franki, and Brenda; Brother Ervin. Survivors include her son Patrick Whitley and wife Bobbie of Albemarle; Grandchildren Cody Whitley of Wilmington, Lacey Whitley of Troy, and Maverick Whitley of Albemarle; Sister Kathleen Hardister of Albemarle; and many nieces and nephews. Stanly Funeral Home of Albemarle, NC is serving the Whitley Family.
