Donald Howard Waldie II's Obituary
Donald "Donnie" Howard Waldie II, age 60, of Monroe, NC, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 at his residence.
A Memorial Service for Donnie was held 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2019, in the Azalea Room of Davis Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Frank Crump.
Donnie was born June 29, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Evelyn Whitton Watts and the late Donald Howard Waldie. Donnie was in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. After relocating to Monroe, he was self-employed as a carpenter for many years. Donnie's family remembers him for his sense of humor, and his kindness towards his loved ones.
In addition to his mother, Donnie is survived by a son, Donald Howard Waldie III of Ft. Myers, FL, two sisters; Marlene Smith (Walt) of Apex NC, and Suzanne Barr (Jay) of Cape Coral, FL. Donnie is also survived by his granddaughter, Paisley Elaine Waldie.
