Donald Larry Huneycutt, 78 years of age of Albemarle,NC, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015. He was the husband of Marlene M. Huneycutt for 60 years.? He was a lifetime member of Bethany UMC, where he was Director of Music for 3 decades. Don was a member of the Woodmen of the World for 51 years and had retired from Lance Inc, Charlotte, NC.
Don was born September 21, 1937 to the late Davie Lee Holt Huneycutt and Ted Huneycutt . Don is survived by his wife Marlene, son Rodney Huneycutt and wife Cathy, daughters, Deedy Hatley, Rhenda Huneycutt, Jerri Huneycutt. Grandchildren are Amy Morgan and husband Marc, Matthew Huneycutt, Dane Hatley and wife Tegan, and Drew Hatley. Great-Grandchildren are Ali,Emma and Brack Morgan, Isaac and Elizabeth Huneycutt, and Reagan and Jennings Hatley. Two sisters, Jean Hill and Brenda Turner also survive, and two brothers proceeded in death, Richard and TA Huneycutt.
Receiving will be?Monday, October 19, 2015 from 6-8 pm?at Stanly Funeral Home, with the funeral being held?Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2 pm?at Bethany UMC.
