Donald Lewis Fincher's Obituary
Donald Lewis Fincher, 75, of Albemarle passed away June 18, 2021 in Atrium Health Stanly. His funeral service will be 2 PM on Tuesday, June 22 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Fincher, Tommy Lowder, and Harold Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle from 12 until 2 PM prior to the service.
Born September 17, 1945 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late William Fincher and Effie Baucom Fincher. He attended Dunn's Grove Baptist Church and was former owner and operator of Southern Marble Company and Carolina Marble. He was a former employee of Tradeway. He loved old cars and motorcycles and loved attending car shows.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Almond Fincher of the home, son Todd Lewis Fincher of Albemarle, 2 grandsons, Dustin Fincher and wife Lisa of Albemarle and Matthew Lewis Fincher of Albemarle, 2 great-grandchildren Jillian and Kyler Fincher. Three brothers, Bill, Jerry, and Larry Fincher and a sister Barbara Fincher preceded him death.
The family requests that memorials be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1024 Albemarle Rd., #904, Troy, NC 27371.
