Don Wayne Mesimer's Obituary
Don Wayne Mesimer, 80, of Albemarle passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Albemarle from 11AM-1PM. A private graveside service will be held by the family officiated by Preacher Mike Rinehardt.
Don was born October 23, 1942 in Cabarrus County to the late Sid Ashby Mesimer and Mary Magnolia Barringer Mesimer. His life was helping others through his processing at Don’s Private Deer Club. He always welcomed others with open arms and never turned anyone away. His greatest joy in life was the love he had for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Some of his hobbies included spending time outdoors, gardening, riding tractors, and listening to old time gospel hymns,
Mr. Mesimer is survived by Lisa Ann Mesimer Tucker (Bobby) of Albemarle, Danny Wayne Mesimer (Melinda) of Richfield, Kathy Lynn Mesimer fiancé (Robert Heil) of Albemarle; grandchildren: Kyle Tucker of Albemarle, Jamie Goodman and fiancé (Jerry Wallace) of Oakboro; Brandi Kroener (Jeffrey) of WA; Derek Mesimer (Raya) of Albemarle, Angel Mesimer of St. Kitts, Ethan Wyatt of Albemarle; 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Julia Plott of Concord, and Jean Dale of Morganton; several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his brother: Jimmy Mesimer; and sisters: Frances Morris, Faye Till, and Katherine Lowder.
