Dillon Monroe Mauldin's Obituary
Dillon Monroe Mauldin, 81, of Albemarle, NC passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, February 25, 2024. The Funeral Service will be at 2PM Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Lakeview Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will greet family and friends from 6PM until 8PM Friday, March 1, 2024, at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Albemarle, NC.
Dillon, affectionately known as “Pa”, was born December 6th, 1942, in Stanly County, NC to the late Ollie and Sunie Mauldin. Left to cherish his memories, his wife of 60 years, Brenda Almond Mauldin, daughter; Teresa Troutman (Perry) of Gold Hill, NC, sons; Lesley Mauldin (Natasha) of Mt. Gilead, NC, Randy Mauldin (Danielle) of Kannapolis, NC, grandchildren; Brittany Troutman of Gold Hill, NC, Tyler Mauldin of Norwood, NC, Madison Hollenbach of Concord, NC, Christian Dobson of Kannapolis, NC, Olivia Mauldin of Albemarle, NC, Kyle Troutman of Gold Hill, NC, Luke Smith of Mt. Gilead, NC, Jax Smith of Mt. Gilead, NC, great-grandchildren; Victoria McLaughlin, Josie Mauldin, Halston Hollenbach, Steven Jenkins, and Kollyns Robichaud. Mr. Mauldin was preceded in death by grandson Hunter Mauldin.
Mr. Mauldin retired in 2000 from Alcoa with 30 years of service where he worked in construction and the pot room. He was a lifelong member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, pulpit committee member, and a youth leader. He enjoyed camping and loved his four-legged companion, “Little Sadie”.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Ann Ward, the Warren family, Lisa and all the Hospice nurses at Tillery Compassionate Care.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to Tillery Compassionate Care (960 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001).
