Diane Traywick Johnston
Monroe, NC - Diane Traywick Johnston, 73, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 16, 2022.
Diane was born on July 16, 1948, in Union County, NC, the daughter of the late Ernest Boyd Traywick and Laura Hazel Mitchum Traywick. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kellie Brooke Hatley.
Diane graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1966. She and her husband, Dennis, owned and operated a lumber business in California.
Diane is survived by: her husband of 22 years, Dennis Ray Johnston, and grandson, Jacob Lane, both of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; brothers David and Donnie Traywick, both of Marshville, NC; sister Susan Theresa Traywick of St. Augustine, FL, and nephew, Jason Traywick of Marshville, NC and his children Tracen and Hudson. Also surviving are step-son Jeff Johnston of Fullerton, CA and his sons, Dylan, Sean, Jeffrey, and Matthew, and stepdaughter Rebecca Ibsen of La Canada, CA, and her children Skylar, Warner, Amelia.
Davis Funeral Service is entrusted with arrangements. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4, in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin St, Monroe, NC, with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at in the Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 11 AM at Davis Funeral Service prior to the service.
