Dewey Glenn ?D.G.? Tucker, 82, of Badin passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 in his home.? His funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Mabry officiating.? Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.? The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Stanly Funeral Home from 6 until 9 PM.
Born October 19, 1933 in Anson County, NC, Mr. Tucker was the son of the late Mallie Jackson Tucker and Elizabeth Jordan Tucker.? He was a retired employee of Alcoa with over 32 years of service.? Mr. Tucker was a member of Canton Baptist Church and was a former member of Badin Baptist Church.? He was a Master Mason and member of Yadkin Falls Lodge 637 A. F. & A. M.? in Badin, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Member of the Oasis Shriners.? He was preceded in death by his first wife Audrey Tucker.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife Shelby Almond Tucker, son Terry G. Tucker of Wadesboro, daughter Debbie Rummage and husband Mike of Albemarle, stepson Charles Whitley of Albemarle, grandchildren Josh and Toni, step grandchildren Amanda and Dustin, great-grandchildren Kelsi, Alexis and Whitney, step great-grandchildren Dillon, Haley, and Cole, and great-great-grandchild Xavier.
