Dewey Allen Hobbs' Obituary
Mr. Dewey Allen Hobbs, age 57, of Monroe, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Hospice of Union County.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am Sunday, December 17th at Providence Baptist Church, Waxhaw, North Carolina, conducted by Rev. Johnny Cassada
Mr. Hobbs was born November 26, 1960, in Union Co., North Carolina, the son of the late James Clarence "Shine" Hobbs and the late Nancy Ann Broome Hobbs. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Clayton Hobbs and Jeff Hobbs; and his sister Helen Baucom.
Survivors include his wife Anita Hobbs of Monroe, NC; his daughter Kristen Guthrie of Monroe, NC; his son Kevin Hobbs of Monroe, NC; his sisters Barbara Joyce Davis of Indian Trail, NC and Evelyn Hobbs Smith of Locust, NC; his five brothers Kenneth Hobbs of Monroe, NC, Eugene Hobbs of Monroe, NC, Stephen Hobbs of Monroe, NC, David Hobbs of Waxhaw, NC and Ronnie Hobbs of Mt. Pleasant, NC. Grandchildren, Michaela Pope, Alex Tabor, Lynnsey Tabor, Landon Guthrie, Cameron Guthrie and another Guthrie grandson due in May 2018. Stepchildren Christy Townsend, Renee Bowles, Brandi Richardson,five step- grandchildren and one step- great grandchild.
