Deborah Kay Mauldin Huneycutt's Obituary
Deborah Kay Mauldin Huneycutt, 72, of Albemarle passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 in her home. Her funeral service will be at 2 PM on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Friendship Methodist Church with Pastor Dean Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 PM at the church prior to the hour of the service.
Born February 12, 1952, in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late George T. Mauldin and Louise Furr Mauldin. She was a retired Lab Tech with the Stanly County Health Department. She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church. Mrs. Huneycutt loved cooking and traveling to the beach. Her grandchildren were her life.
Mrs. Huneycutt was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Huneycutt. She is survived by her sons Jason Huneycutt (Brandi) of Albemarle and Jamie Huneycutt (Erin) of Asheville, two sisters Diane Collie of Albemarle and Lynn Forrest (Richard) of Albemarle, daughter-in-law Ashley Carter (Matt) of Albemarle, and seven grandchildren Neleh, Alex, Lannah, Levi, Ella Grace, Meredith, and Easton, as well as sister-in-law Judy Clayton (Billy) of Albemarle. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Mauldin.
