Deborah Lee Gaddy's Obituary
Deborah Lee Gaddy, 71, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A memorial service to celebrate Deborah’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle, officiated by Pastor Jason Almond. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
Deborah was born on May 8, 1955, in Ohio to the late Donald and Barbara Atkin.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Robert Gaddy, Melissa Parsons (Jeffrey), Rachel Nix (William), and Tim Gaddy (Amanda); her cherished grandchildren, Benjamin Parsons, Logan Lewis, Christian Nix, Samuel Parsons, Connor Curry, Jacob Gaddy, and Henry Gaddy; her sister, Denise Douglas (Jeff); and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Gaddy in 2024; her sisters, Diane Whittenburg and Jennifer Holly.
Deborah was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She faced life’s challenges and suffering with grace, strength, and unwavering faith, raising her children to know and love Jesus. Deborah was known for her quick wit, intelligence, and wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter to those around her. She enjoyed playing spades, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with family. She was also a gifted cook whose meals brought everyone together around the table. Above all, Deborah treasured her grandchildren and loved praise and worship music.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Tillery Compassionate Care, Atrium Health Hospice of Cabarrus County, and Andrea Lillie for the love, care, and support shown to Deborah during her declining health.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tillery Compassionate Care, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
While she will be deeply missed, Deborah leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and beautiful memories that will continue to bring comfort for years to come.
