David Michael Taylor's Obituary
Mr. David Michael Taylor, age 20, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014.
Funeral services to Celebrate the Life of David Michael Taylor will be conducted Friday, August 8, 2014, at 3:00 PM at Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Road, Monroe, NC 28110, officiated by Reverend Don Thompson.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Michael was born on May 28, 1994, in Mecklenburg County, a son of David Leon Taylor and Donna Marie Musselwhite Taylor.
He was a former general sale associate at LOWE'S Home Improvement Store of Monroe.
He was a 2012 graduate of Piedmont High School. He was selected to appear in the PHS Annual "The Prowler" as Best Musician of the class of 2012. He and fellow students, Ben Landrum, Cleb Correa, and Zach Trotter won the Talent Show. His love of history was reflected in his choice of movies to watch repeatedly, namely "Saving Private Ryan" and "Pearl Harbour". He became a drummer at the early time of his life when he started to walk. He loved to work outside in the garden while caring for the Bulls in the pasture. He was kind hearted and loved to help if there was grass to be mowed. Church was important to him since his baptism on June 10, 2012 at Love Baptist Church.
Surivivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Lauren Brooke Taylor of Monroe; paternal grandmother, Clara Webb Taylor of Wingate and maternal grandparents, Donna Sue Musselwhite White (Roscoe) of Harrisburg.
There is an uncle, James Eric Taylor of Monroe and four aunts, Rita Keziah (Tim) of Monroe, Janice Pate of North Carolina , Annette Burgess of Wingate and Lorraine Bryant of Wingate.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday night, August 7, 2014, at Davis Funeral Home in Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street.
