David Gregg McKenna's Obituary
David Gregg McKenna, 78, of New London, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. McKenna was born September 24, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to the late Alvin McKenna and Audrey Kathleen Herrion McKenna. He was a graduate of the University of Southern California at Irvine. David was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Randolph Technical Community College teaching Anatomy, Physiology and Biology. David loved trains and riding in his boat and fishing. He also loved cars and was a avid hunter, an airplane pilot and a Patriot Life Benefactor of the NRA.
David is survived by his wife, Ollie Eva Jones McKenna of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Steven McKenna (Suzi) of Goochland, VA and Richard McKenna (Cynthia) of Dunn, NC; brother, Paul McKenna (Maggie) of San Diageo, CA; two sisters, Sharon Kirk and Stephanie Gilfillian both of San Diageo; five grandchildren, Anthony Calandra, Crystal Stoneman, David McKenna, Andie McKenna and Liam McKenna and seven great-grandchildren, Jaden Stoneman, Amber Stoneman, Ronan Stoneman, Sebastian Kent, Eli McKenna, Daniel McKenna and Abel McKenna.
