David Columbus Lowder's Obituary
David Columbus Lowder, 67, of Norwood passed away May 19, 2021 in Pineville. His funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin McCormac officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday evening at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle.
Born February 5, 1954 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the late Henry Clifford Lowder and Lilly Biles Lowder. He worked as a Millwright in the Power Generation Industry and a veteran of the US Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, family and humor. He was a great brother.
Mr. Lowder is survived by his son Joshua David Lowder of the home, brothers James Lowder of Albemarle and Jerry Lowder of Cooleemee, and sisters Louise Dunsford of Marion, NC and Jane Lowder of Ashland, VA.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Tiffany Brooke Lowder, and brothers J. C. Lowder and William Lowder.
