David Russell Funderburk's Obituary
Mr. David Russell Funderburk, age 59, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be private.
Mr. Funderburk was born on March 17, 1961, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of Lois Moore Funderburk and the late Keith Franklin Funderburk. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Funderburk, a brother, Rodney Funderburk and a sister, Rebecca Funderburk Blackburn; and a nephew, Cory John Blackburn.
Russell was a carpenter and was employed by Mark Holmes Construction. He was also an avid fisherman.
Survivors include two sons, David Jason Funderburk and wife Shelly of Stanley, NC, and Russell Cameron Funderburk of West Virginia; a daughter, Keisha Funderburk of West Virginia; his mother, Lois Moore Funderburk of Wingate; two nieces, Tara Strickland of Wingate and Tiffany Funderburk of Peachland, NC. There are three grandchildren.
