David Leon Capel's Obituary
David Leon Capel, 66 of Albemarle, passed away Sunday,
February 17, 2019 at his home. His
family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care on Friday,
February 22, 2019 from 6 until 8 PM. A
private family service will be held at a later date.
Born April 17, 1952 in Upson County, GA, he was the son of
the late Billy Sunday Capel and Hilda Blanche Lassiter Capel. He was retired from the City of Albemarle and
also worked as a carpenter at Homes by Oakwood.
He was of the Baptist Faith and he loved the outdoors and wildlife. Mr. Capel enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and
photography was his hobby. He also loved
helping his neighbors.
Survivors include daughters Leigh Capel (Bryan) of Albemarle
and Dana Dodd (Jeff) of Oakboro, brothers Ronnie Capel of Albemarle and Darrell
Capel of Durham, sister Debbie Page of Albemarle, and grandchildren River Dodd
and Ryder Dodd.
