Darrell Sanford Kidd's Obituary
Mr. Darrell Sanford Kidd, age 71, of Locust, NC, formerly of Charlotte, died on October 22, 2023. He died doing what he loved most, mountain biking. Darrell was preceded by his parents, Sanford Leroy (Roy) Kidd and Gladys Mackey Kidd. He is survived by his sister Elisa Dunn and husband Ronald, nephew Drew Dunn, niece Lauren Baheri, “adopted” daughter Wendy Gregory Paroli and husband Mike, former wife Lynn Singer, the T-Shirt Crew, various cousins, devoted cat Kibo, and a host of beloved friends that were like family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tarheel Trailblazers, the Carolina Climbers Coalition, or a charity of your choosing. A small private ceremony will be held for close family and friends on January 6th at 4 p.m. at the river. Contact Wendy Paroli for more information.
He would encourage you all to climb that mountain, ride the bike, buy your dream car, take the adventure, and remember that he loved you all.
The family has requested that no flowers or trees be sent in memory of Mr. Kidd.
