Burial will follow in Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m., prior to the service.
Born November 14, 1956, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, Danny was the son of the late Brown Allen Bost and Betty Elizabeth Layton Bost. He was a retired textile employee and a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Danny will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering devotion to his faith, and his love to converse with all. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, often mowing the yards of elderly neighbors and quietly serving others whenever a need arose. His church was at the center of his life, and he faithfully attended services several times each week. Music was one of his greatest passions. He shared his talents by singing in church and playing the piano, organ, and guitar, bringing joy and inspiration to those around him.
Above all, Danny cherished his church family and his beloved dog, Millie, who was his constant companion. His kindness, servant’s heart, and cheerful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sister, Vickie B. Hatley and husband, Reggie, of Albemarle; his brother, Randy Bost and wife, Connie, of Mount Pleasant; three nephews; three great-nephews; one great-niece; numerous cousins; and his beloved dog, Millie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and other beloved family members who welcomed him into eternal rest.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time as they celebrate the life of a man whose faith, music, and kindness touched so many lives.
