Daisy Faircloth Hathcock, 97, of Albemarle passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in her home.? Her funeral service will be 2 PM Friday, January 13, 2017 in Centerview Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Galloway and Rev. Otis Goins officiating.? Burial will follow in the Centerview Baptist Church Cemetery.? The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care.
Born January 2, 1920 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Marlin Faircloth and Beulah Gatha Vanhoy Faircloth.? She was a great mother.? Mrs. Hathcock was the oldest member of Centerview Baptist Church.? She loved to sew and she also loved to laugh and have a good time.? She was formerly active in her church making flower arrangements, working in Bible School and many other church activities.? She was also very active in her children?s education.
Mrs. Hathcock was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Hathcock on October 17, 2005.? Survivors include son Steve Hathcock and wife Brenda of New London, daughters Paula Hudson of Albemarle, and Joan Loflin and husband Robert of New London, NC as well as 6 grandchildren Bob Loflin, Jr., Mark Loflin, Tammy H. Albertson, Paulette H. Thorpe, Greg Loflin and Neil Hudson, 10 great-grandchildren, Garrett Loflin, Whitney Thorpe, Zachary Almond, Holly Loflin, Emma Loflin, Jenny Loflin, Gabrielle Thorpe, Dallas Loflin, Grant Loflin and Ila Loflin and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Brantley Thorpe and Macy Dahl.
