Cynthia Little Collins' Obituary
Cynthia Little Collins, 60, of Florence, South Carolina, formerly of Albemarle, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
A funeral service to celebrate Cynthia's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026 with Pastor Jeremy Blake officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Born on May 19, 1966, in Stanly County, Cynthia was the beloved daughter of the late Dwight and Betty Little.
Cynthia is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Jay Collins. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins who will cherish her memory and the time they shared with her.
A lifelong learner with a creative spirit, Cynthia earned her undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University before receiving her master's degree from the University of South Carolina. She had a passion for crafting, especially scrapbooking, and found great joy in preserving memories for those she loved. An avid reader, Cynthia also faithfully supported Appalachian football and took great pride in her alma mater. She shared a special bond with her beloved feline companions, who brought her much comfort and happiness throughout the years.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Ellen and Jason Drucker for the exceptional care, unwavering support, and genuine compassion they showed Cynthia throughout her declining health. Their kindness and friendship will always be remembered with deep gratitude.
Though Cynthia's earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared, the memories she preserved, and the kindness she extended to others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
